How we migrate a site with “no downtime”

  1. Access. We get access to the old hosting/admin to prepare a copy.
  2. Staging copy. We clone the site to a hidden test environment (invisible to visitors).

  4. Cutover window. We select a low-traffic time.
  5. DNS cutover. We point the domain to the new server (minor fluctuations are possible while DNS caches update).
